⭐ Your first day, in 4 steps
- Log in on Compass (the shop's staff app).
- Clock in for your shift as Bather.
- Open a pet's card and tap the 🛁 Bather panel.
- When Front Desk checks a pet in, tap Start Bath.
1 Log in
You log in on Compass — the shop's staff app. It also unlocks the Day Board (the pet-card screen) for you automatically.

Open Compass. Type your name in the Your name box (your username is usually first name + first letter of your last name).

Everyone's very first password is the same: Password1!

Compass will immediately make you pick your own password — at least 8 characters, and it can't be Password1!.
Log in
2 Clock in & out
Tap Clock In when your shift starts and Clock Out when it ends. If you also work another role in the same day, use the correct clock pair for the job you're doing right now (e.g. Bather Hours vs. Front Desk Hours).

Forgot to punch? Tell a manager — don't guess. There's a Fix-a-punch tool, but it needs a reason.
3 The pet card basics
Every pet checked in today has a card on the Day Board. Across the top is a step tracker showing where they are in their visit.

Gray = not started · Amber = in progress · Green = done.
Tap into your role panel — the bathing/drying buttons live inside it.

4 Start Bath → Bath Done
In the 🛁 Bather panel: tap Start Bath the moment you begin. It turns amber ("Bathing…"). Tap Bath Done when finished — it turns green.

Next to the buttons you'll see a small Budget line — the target time the shop expects for this size/coat of pet. It's not a punishment, it just helps the shop schedule appointments realistically.

You'll also see a small gray goal 30m tag right on the start/end time stamps — same target number, just a quick at-a-glance version.
5 Drying cycle
Right next to bathing, on the same row:
▶ Start Dry

Tap ▶ Start Dry when you begin drying.

Need to pause and put the pet in a kennel to keep drying later? Tap Kennel Dry — it's only tappable while a dry is actually in progress.

Tap ✓ End Dry when the pet is fully dry.
Same Budget line + goal tag show here too (e.g. Dry · Budget: 30m / goal 30m).
6 Walks + CBD
Unlike the other Front Desk items, walking dogs and giving CBD is your job — front desk just keeps an eye from a distance.
This row sits near the top of the card, always visible — it's not hidden inside any role panel, so anyone glancing at the card can see it too.

Tap Mark Walked after every walk. If the pet is on CBD, tap CBD Approval first, then CBD Administered once it's actually given.
7 Add-on duties — the package rule
Add-ons (like nail grinding, ear plucking, teeth brushing) show as small tan chips under the pet's service. Tap a chip once you've done it — it turns green. Who does which add-on depends on the package:
Bathing package only
You do
ALL add-ons — including ear plucking and nail grinding.
Full Groom or Tidy
You do all add-ons
EXCEPT ear plucking and nail grinding — those are the groomer's job on these appointments.
Due from Bather:
Teeth Brushing
The card itself does this sorting for you — look for a "Due from Bather:" label inside your panel listing exactly which add-ons are yours for that appointment.
8 Bather notes (synced)
Type into the 🛁 Bather notes box: coat condition before the bath, sensitivity to products, handling tips. It saves automatically — "synced" means the whole team can see it, on any device.
9 Photos
Pick the category pill first, THEN tap the + tile — it tags whatever you add with the pill that's lit.

"During" is lit by default — remember to tap the right pill before adding a Before/After shot.
⚠ If something looks wrong
Wrong status, wrong button tapped, anything confusing — tell the front desk lead or Linda. Don't try to force-fix it yourself.
For a simple mis-tap on the pet's status, look for ← undo last tap at the bottom of the card — it steps the status back by one.
