Everything on this page shows the REAL buttons you'll tap — same colors, same labels.
⭐ Your first day, in 4 steps
- Log in on Compass (the shop's staff app).
- Clock in for your shift.
- Open a pet's card and tap the ✂️ Groomer panel.
- When the bather finishes drying, tap Start Groom.
1 Log in
You log in on Compass — the shop's staff app. It also unlocks the Day Board (the pet-card screen) for you automatically.

Open Compass. Type your name in the Your name box (your username is usually first name + first letter of your last name).

Everyone's very first password is the same: Password1!

Compass will immediately make you pick your own password — at least 8 characters, and it can't be Password1!.
Log in
2 Clock in & out
Tap Clock In when your shift starts and Clock Out when it ends, plus Start Break / End Break if you step away.

Forgot to punch? Tell a manager — don't guess. There's a Fix-a-punch tool, but it needs a reason.
3 The pet card basics
Every pet checked in today has a card on the Day Board. Across the top is a step tracker showing where they are in their visit.

Gray = not started · Amber = in progress · Green = done.
Tap into your role panel — the grooming buttons live inside it.

4 Check Previous Visits first
Before you start, glance at 📚 Previous visits on the card — what happened last time: cut style, notes, anything to watch for.

5 Start Groom → Groom Done
In the ✂️ Groomer panel: tap Start Groom once you begin. It turns amber while in progress. Tap Groom Done when finished — it turns green.

You'll also see a small gray goal 50m tag right on the start/end time stamps — same target number, just a quick at-a-glance version.
6 Glamour (required)
Once the final blow-dry, bandana, or bow is done, tap Glamour. This is a required step before the pet's card can show fully Done.

7 Ear plucking + nail grinding — the package rule
Add-ons show as small tan chips under the pet's service. Tap a chip once done — it turns green.
Full Groom or Tidy
Ear plucking and nail grinding are
your job only on these appointments.
On a Bathing-only appointment, the bather does ear plucking and nail grinding instead — not you.

The card itself does this sorting for you — look for a "Due from Groomer:" label inside your panel listing exactly which add-ons are yours for that appointment.
8 Groomer notes (synced)
Type into the ✂️ Groomer notes box: cut style, what worked, what to do next time, behavioral notes. It saves automatically — "synced" means the whole team can see it, on any device — and it's what the next groomer reads under Previous Visits.
9 Photos
Pick the category pill first, THEN tap the + tile — it tags whatever you add with the pill that's lit.

10 Rate the bather
Next to the bather's name on the card, tap 1–5 stars to rate how the pet was handed off to you.

You'll also see an Auto-Score (system-generated, based on time/notes/photo) and a Front Desk Rating — those are informational, not yours to set.
⚠ If something looks wrong
Wrong status, wrong button tapped, anything confusing — tell the front desk lead or Linda. Don't try to force-fix it yourself.
For a simple mis-tap on the pet's status, look for ← undo last tap at the bottom of the card — it steps the status back by one.
